32 Years of Celebration
Started about 32 years ago by the Plano Business and Professional Women (BPW), the Plano Independence Day Parade began small, primarily as a family and community affair.

The parade starts in the parking lot of the Plano ISD administration building. It will travel west on 15th St. then noth on Independence. Then east on Parkhaven ending in the parking lot of Plano Senior High School

The History of Plano
Early settlers to the area now known as Plano were McBain Jameson and Jeremiah Muncey. They were killed by Indians in 1844, but no further harm from Indians came to settlers moving into the area the following year.Rules & Regulations
- Throwing of items from parade entries is not allowed.
- The Plano Early Lions Club reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed inappropriate.
- All vehicles must be decorated.
- No cars with magnetic signs only.
- Car Clubs maximum five per entry.
- Motorcycle Clubs maximum ten per entry.
